Just when the U.S Military scores a morale victory, Democrats throw cold water on them! The military and American people look for opportunities to celebrate and this was one of those opportunities. In typical Democrat fashion, Pelosi jerks the rug out from under them/us in an attempt to score political points and pawn to her base. Typical left wing Kalifornia kook in action. It will be fun to watch when the Republicans hold the house in November what will happen to Pelosi. The only position she will be holding will be bending over and grabing the ankles.





Nancy Pelosi: Zarqawi Death Changes Nothing


House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is warning Americans not to get too excited over the death of Abu Musab al Zarqawi, saying in a statement issued by her office Thursday that it really won't do much to improve the situation in Iraq.

After briefly noting that she was "proud of our troops for their tireless work," the top House Democrat wasted no time in throwing cold water on the good news.

"[Zarqawi's] death does not alter the fact that our brave men and women in uniform are fighting a war of choice in which the President sent our troops into harm's way without a plan for victory and without leveling with the American people," she complained.

Do you think there's something in the water out in Kalifornia. I think there is. I saw this woman, Jane Harman, on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace yesterday. All she could say over and over was, we need Don Rumsfeld to be fired and said we're not winning militarily in Iraq. Saying such absurd things, doesn't make it so. Asked about Zarqawi, she brings up Osama bin Ladin. Will somebody tell this douchebag that Osama is impotent and has been in hiding for the past five years. These people are about nothing other than negative spin on America. They just can't get away from their leftist lies and work for America. It's just not in them. Their target is not American victory, political advantage is their only goal. They can't be trusted to run the dog pound let alone this country.

Four days after the killing of top terrorist Abu Musab al Zarqawi brought the U.S. its most stunning military success of the Iraq war, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee is calling for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to be fired because the military effort is failing.

"I don't think we're succeeding militarily," Rep. Jane Harman told "Fox News Sunday."

"Continuing the same course, you know, is not getting us anywhere," she insisted. "What would help with doubters - and there are doubters in both parties all over the country - [would be] if the president decided that Rumsfeld should go."

Harman credited the Zarqawi take-out to "wonderful police work" but added: "It won't reduce the insurgency, I don't believe."


The California Democrat criticized the strategy of going after terrorist leaders like Zarqawi as "playing whack-a-mole."
"We kill one person, ten arise," she complained. "That's just not the strategy that can work."

Harman called the formation of a unity government "a great achievement," and said the U.S. should focus on bringing about a political solution to sectarian violence.

"But while we're part of the political solution, we're also part of the military problem," she insisted. "And having us continue to stay there, I don't think will achieve our objectives."

Harman called on President Bush to "start moving [U.S. troops] out of Iraq . . . We should have an over-the horizon force, no question."


"I'm not talking about cutting and running," the top House Democrat insisted moments later. "I'm talking about how do we win. We win politically, we don't win militarily."

This statement really doesn't ring true. Perhaps if it was true, I'd acknowledge that it was. It's not true. Lies have no effect. But what is true, is that the DIMs are not going to control the house or Senate after the upcoming elections, so you can blather all you want. And in 08, it's going to be another Republican President......and I think it will be a true conservative, this time. That's because the American people know the DIMs cannot be trusted to protect this country.
