An appeal to the moderators

I'm going to renew my objection to Qwik's behavior, and request that the moderators banish him from this section of the board.

I don't care what side of the aisle you are on, what your views are, or what you believe in. There are plenty of us here that disagree (heatedly sometimes) but do so with the intent to make intelligent discussion.

Using Qwik's last cartoon posting as a prime example of his behavior, his sole function here is to disturb and detract. He has no interest in participating in any legitimate discussion. Large excerpts of articles that no one wants to filter through followed by incessant rambling and one word ad homenim attacks is what has successfully killed the traffic here.

With that said, I encourage those who read this, regardless of your political affiliation, to take some pride in this board. Fast with class shouldn't stop at the door of the political forum.

Without making any personal attacks of any sort, or addressing Qwik at all (no doubt he'll have some sort of ridiculous response to this thread) lets have a show of hands of those interested in making this a forum a better place and return some integrity and honesty to the political forum by cleaning out the trash.

Stage 2 , you got my vote and I share your sentiments. I have even gone so far as to say that TB.com has lost control in the PV forum and the mods scoffed at that claim. Well, look at quicks cartoons of late. I'm right...........again

As for the board We are the reason he is still around. By replying to his nonsense We empower him. I'm guilty of it too. If we all ignore his garbage no matter what..maybe he'll go infect some other site.

My .02 cents.....we aren't going to kick anyone out of the forum because they don't agree with the majority.

If Qwik breaks the rules then he will be dealt with like anyone else....but it isn't against the rules to be annoying, or to post pictures, or anything else that you made in your statement. Is it annoying.....hell yeah....but so what. I mean as a grown man do you not have enough self control over your own emotions not to let someone get to you? I would hope so.

Drew you can say the PV is out of control til you are blue in the face and it doesn't make it true. The PV forum right now is probably better than it has ever been because of the high number of posters that we don't often see in here. The last few weeks we have had dozens of new screen names and I for one like it.

PV isn't out of control...their is as much control as we feel is necessary. If Qwik or anyone else continues to act up after being warned by myself or Jesse then they will be given a vacation, if they continue to violate the rules of the forum then they could be removed permanently.

Well, Stage2, I only see you respond to qwik and no one else. Why don't you ignore him. You ignore me. I'm insulted, actually. No, Red I'm not ignoring you, I just agree with pretty much everything you say so there's really no need to add my .02.

Blown... why is it too much to expect people here to act mature? There are all sorts of places in life where everyone is forced to deal with other peoples ridiculous behavior. This shouldn't be one of them.

This isnt about my emotions or whether or not someone is getting to me. I sleep fine at night regardless of what anyone else does. I am voicing a concern on behalf of many members here, and it is one that I feel need to be addressed.

As far as I knew, trolls were not allowed here. Qwik is a troll. Whatever "rules" there are for this forum, acting in the manner he does certianly must run afoul of them.

The only reason that I can gather that he hasnt been removed is that you guys dont want to rock the boat. Which brings us to this thread.

I figure that if I get together a "petition" that will demonstrate to you guys that most here would rather the forum operate without trolls, then maybe some changes will finally be made.

I can't speak for Jesse...but for me it has nothing to do with rocking the boat but rather that I feel that everyone is entitled to their opinion and Qwik should be free to express his....does it create a ruckus sometimes....sure....but only because the same posters fall for his crap over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Defining someone as a troll is not realistic. In some of your eyes ANYONE who posts a viewpoint different than yours is a troll and then others have a more mature look on the subject. I would rather not define what constitutes a troll but rather deal with individual situations as they arise.

Drew...as for rules....I don't know that we have a set list of rules...that's been tried before where a rigid enforcement structure was in place and it did not work. If Jesse wants to define a tight set of rules then that's his choice and I will enforce them but we have both agreed that in reality we should all be able to play nice and take care of the issues when they arise.

I still stand by my earlier statement that we have more posters in here than ever before since I have been a moderator and that is a good thing. Qwik has been vacationed a few times already so that would be considered if it happens again.

Red hit it on the head....Qwik exists because you allow him to....if he goes away then another Qwik will be there to take his place.

I have stated my case on it.....feel free to PM Jesse and state your opinion. As I stated earlier if he wants to change the direction of the PV to a more restricted format then we can do that.
