I am learning new sheeet on here everyday,i see what you are saying about the dimples now... (boy do i feel stupid)
I thought that auction ended at like $910.00. Did he re-list? Don't feel stupid! NO ONE in here knows EVERYTHING there is to know about these cars(although some act like they do. NOT referring to anyone in this thread). Some of the GTA rims didn't have dimples either by the way(I've got a pair of each), so that's not the only indicator. BUT: if the ones you're looking at have them, you KNOW they're not GNXs. The offsets(front and rear) were altogether different than the GTA's. The GNX fronts had a 15mm positive offset, the rears a 23mm positive. The GTA rears have a negative offset. That's why it takes spacers to mount them on a G-Body.

Those are pretty wheels. I wonder if he'd sell four fronts as a set?

-----------------------------
'86-'87 GTA rims do not have the dimples, but in '88 the GTA rims came with dimples, thus making the early '86-'87 rims somewhat more desireable. Maybe a different manufacturer or or only a new center mold.

One design was manufactured in one piece, the other welded(center to barrel).

Well, how much do you think they are woth?Do i need to retract my bid?

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!

I HAVE RECEIVED A COUPLE EMAILS FROM PEOPLE SAYING THAT THESE WHEELS ARE NOT TRUE GNX WHEELS. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THIS AND IF YOU NEED TO RETRACT YOUR BID BECAUSE OF THIS PLEASE DO SO.

THANKS

Well: I've got about $700.00 in mine(two pair, re-conditioned). Of course: I've had them for about 6 years. I bought a third pair of the dimpled GTAs last year for $350.00, that had just been re-conditioned by a real wheel shop(done correctly, re-machined, poly black and clear). Figured I'd mount my BFG D/Rs on those/keep 4 KDWs on the car. Anyway- what they're worth is up to you(what you're willing to spend on them), and what they're worth to the people bidding against you(how badly they want them). By the way: ask to see pics of the insides of the rims. It's easy for these to end up too close to the tie rod ends and get the inner bead of the rim eaten up.

If you've already been outbid: don't worry about it(you already lost the auction). If not: contact the seller. He offered to cancel anyone's bid based on his error. Further: if you get on your eBay home page: on the lower left you'll see "buyer's guide". Click on that, and you'll see a, "Can I retract my bid" link. Click on that and they explain all the in's and out's. There's a bid retraction form, but- they tell you to contact the seller first and have him cancel for you also.

That's always a possibility. Check out the info on your eBay site on bid retractions, and don't panic! They HAVE to let you out of it- He already admitted he mis-represented the wheels.

Then again- If everyone else backs out: offer him $700.00. That'd be a sweet deal(IF they're cherry). Tell him to keep the tires. Shipping will be much cheaper that way.
