There's a thread here on board where someone bought the car mentioned and wasn't happy with it.

Ok guys, first of all i am not a crook !! I did trade tntdiablo my 86 t-type to his 87 GN and trailered it to him in Florida (16 hours one way) let him look at it and took him a ride in it and he made the trade. Two or three days later(after he done a cam change and accourding to him he had it dynoed and took to the track) he calls me saying that i ripped him off because it had a rod knocking and had sawdust in the oil and that he wanted his car back. I never forced him into anything and he had the car in front of him and he could have told me no at any time. If you want to check out my e-bay account do a search on user id Isaacsracing and see for yourself. I am a honest person that would never rip anyone off.

what about the parts that you forgot to bring and you never sent them?what about showing up in the daylight so i could inspect the car?why was there saw dust in the motor?i can go on but i think this is enough.i'm telling you guys to be very careful with him,no telling what you may end up with.

also he said the motor was rebuilt from bottom to top,it had stock stamped pistons in it,stock cam,and the list goes on ,the motor was never rebuilt!!!!

I regret making the trade myself and i would trade back if you are serious !! I drove the car two days after we traded when the timing chain broke and bent 5 valves and 2 pushrods. Anyway i traded the extra wheels and tires that you traded with me and got a set of 241 heads that were freshly rebuilt and put in new lifters , moly hardened pushrods, timing chain, oil pump along with ARP head bolts. Put in a Z06 Cam with the correct valve springs in the heads. It runs stronger now than it did before but as you know it really needs a good tune for max HP. Let me know if are interested in a trade back and maybe we can work a deal !!

Yes it is a interferance motor! Go to ls1tech.com and do a search on broken a
timing chain ! It does happin more than people think. I was only turning around 3000 rpm's when it broke!!

Now how tha hell am i supposed to know that the timing chain is about to break?? And by the way the GN had a blown intake gasket and everytime you boosted it would blow the dipstick out and spray oil. Fixed now though. I am contemplating on trading back.
