Also before you bolt the hydroboost and bracket in place have a friend hold the assembly loose under the hood while you hook the rod to the pedal under the dashboard otherwise youll be using channel locks and cusssin and swearin at it to get it on...also you have to adjust the brake light switch once its all bolted up but it slides back and fourth its easy....Heres another link for a few more ideas he did his lines a lil different and used one of my brackets also...http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/brakes-suspensions-tires-wheels/331971-my-hydroboost-setup.html

As far as installation goes youll need 3 90 degree -6 aeroquip fittings and a 45 degree fitting for the gearbox...Use transmission line for the return and a barbed brass t fitting (autozone) place the T in the small line going to the power steering resorvoir and run it to the push on line fitting on the booster...Be careful removing the original line on the plastic resorvoir take a sharp knife and cut it up the side then peel it back..if you yank and pull to get it off youll chance breaking off the plastic nipple... You reservoir will need to be moved also due to the fact that once you bolt it all together it will be so long that the end of the master cylinder will be right on top of the ps fluid cap...I used a piece of sheetmetal and 2 screws to make a lil plate and lower the reservoir 2-3" so i could unscrew the cap....

The reason for the bracket is so you dont have to shorten the brake pedal rod it is 1 1/4" too long and not removable so youd have to cut and weld it..On top of the fact that youd have to remove the powermaster bracket and open up the hole to 2" to make it work that how the original guys like tinman did it....Plus if it ever failed out of town you couldnt just replace it with one from the parts store the bracket makes it a bolt on...

The disadvantage to using the 84-85 setup is the booster is its special order...Where as there are plenty of astrovans to grab one from and other heavy duty trucks my 06 and 07 2500 vans have the same unit on them the resorvoir is just a different color idk if that makes a difference of not... If you get a booster from the junkyard look at the 90s astrovans cut the lines and 4 bolts takes it off also and theres a big plate attached to it... theres a huge nut with a snap ring holding the booster to the bracket..I used a vise to get the nut loose..After you take the snap ring off use the vise to hold the nut and spin the booster with both hands and it will come off...

Ok well heres some threads that got all the info in them and at the bottom of one of my posts theres a video that gives part numbers and even though they are on a syclone 2 of the three fittings are correct and when you read it will tell you which ones and where toplace them.. and theres pics of how i ran my lines i used -6 aeroquip teflon line..You dont need to change you brake pedal or remove your hydroboost bracket..http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/brakes-suspensions-tires-wheels/325517-hydroboost-lines.html heres one thread...and heres the thread about my conversion bracket..http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/brakes-suspensions-tires-wheels/308039-hydroboost-conversion-bracket-now-astrovan-unit-true-bolt.html ...you take the boot off of your powermaster the one that seals the bracket and reuse it on the hydroboost...
