Welcome to the board, had a 83 Grand Prix with a 400 Pontiac that ran 13.5 @ 102 with 2.73 gears. There's a few other Pontiac guys on this board to. Buy a 8.5 out of a 84-87 GN or T-Type. They are kind of pricey though.

Stock bore, with flat top cast pistons, 1967 670 heads, cast iron intake, Q-jet carb, Crane HMV-278 cam. It was over cammed and under geared with turbo 350 trans and stock torque converter. Dead at take off but hard when it hit 2500 rpm. Street raced a few people with it and was told buy one my friends that they were asked if I was sprayin nitrous because thay got me at take off and I passed them like they were standing still. I usually shifted at 5800 rpm and went through the lights at 5800 rpm in 2nd gear.
