This actually happened about 3 months ago, but i thought i'd tell it anyway. I purchased my GN in Sept. of '02 (stock except for ADS chip, which btw, doesn't do much anyways). There is a kid in town that has an 01 GT with the usual mods(chip, pulleys, Flows, and Vortec supercharger). Everyone thinks he's the poo. Anyway, one night I was out cruisin around and saw/heard him go by me on the main drag, so I knew he may want some later. About fifteen minutes passed and he caught up to me. He lingered around my tail end for a little bit then decided he'd blow bye me. When he did i noticed his hot girlfriend was with him, and in classic mustang fashion put his back bumper on my front bumper. He left the stang in 2nd(five speed) and was rollin about thirty. I decided to give his chick a show and slowly leaned into it. As soon as he heard the whistle(didn't even show boost on my guage) he punches it. I get mine wide open and started to pull on him. He grabs third hard and chirps 'em pretty good. By this time I've got a fender on him and am grinning at his girl. I'm goin' into third when I'm out on him a car maybe car 1/4 when he and I both let out. I give him a few taps(you know) and then pull into a local gas station parking lot. He pulls up and of course says that he didn't have it floored and convinces his girlfriend of it. I'm not stupid. I know when someone is in it all the way, and if anybody had a car like that with a girl in there you know he'd be tryin his best. He said he was tryin to explain to his girl what kind of car I had. And then I asked her, "Did he tell you that it's just a V6?" Her expression was priceless.

i have raced MANY guys with their chicks with them and they always thought they were big sh!t...then i put down 10 cars on them and they are like

girls are crazy for mustangs and camaros/trans ams...they have NO idea about the turbo buicks...hell most guys don't...everyone learns the hard way

Ahh I am just playin, that is priceless. I love guys like that who think they are the ****. I have came up on a few guys like that and they don't like it when ya kick there ass, and when they have their girls with them it is even worse.

lol, you should do what I have done a couple times...roll down your window and ask the chick "want to ride in a fast car?" or ask the guy "Hey, race you for your girl". Haha, I have gotten some bad looks and words from the guys and some good looks from the girls before. Oh yeah I am 19 and this was back when I was 17 or 18, and I am cockier now. Now that I will be runnin a couple of your guys' turbos on my car not much will touch me in my little town. Although my car is goin covert style all sleeper like and I am not cocky and think I am the ****, I just like to have fun.

You know how those 4.sux guys are. They either blow bye you or they get in front of you so that they have an advantage when you get on it. I think he was embarrassed cause he got beat by an older guy in an older car with 135,000 miles on it .

not to disrespect the win or the TR in general, but if your car is stock sans a chip and he is driving a blown 01 gt, then there is no way you would be able to hang. there is almost 100 hp difference even with a chip. either the guy couldn't drive himself out of a paper bag or he was n/a...

I don't know....... sure sounded wrapped out to me. I've been street racing a long time, and when the front end of a mustang comes down about 3-4 inches after letting off, that tells me he was in it. I don't give damn if his horsepower is higher, that doesn't mean he'll automatically beat me. The kid can drive, no doubt. He said he only runs a 6psi system, but I have no idea what else other than what I said. He said he runs 11.20's, but I know he's full of crap. I've seen and ridden in some 11 sec. cars and they would smoke him. I know my car only runs in the 13's. He says he ran 11.20's but he couldn't get any traction in 1st so he had to let out and go in 2nd, and he still pulled that time? Nope. Don't think so. I know I beat his a$$, he's been wanting to race me since I bought it.

Sorry, but I had to post to this one. If youve seen my first few posts to your forumn, you will see that I have alot of respect for you guys and the 6 banger. Always impressed by what they can do. I am N/A with Nitto's pushing ALOT at the rear and run 12.6's. The kid you raced was full of sh1t cause with a blower he would push 350 or more at the rear, with street tires and factory rear would run 12.4, IF he could drive. So basically, he deserved the EMBARRASSMENT you dished out. Good on ya

Well, reguardless, if he's @ 2500, then you are at 2500 also and the same applies. So maybe he runs a 12.8 at that altitude. What would a "stock" GN run? 14.4?

I raced a blown Mustang GT and beat him...but not by much. And I run a TE44, dutt neck, no cat, 40# injectors and a big mouth kit. Almost stock. Only ran a 12.84 with Xylene and an open dump at 18# boost.
