I couldn't help myself.

Going to check a jobsite this morning and had to show some guy my age (55) his Suzuki big V-Twin is not all that fast.

I'm driving in morning traffic on a two lane city street with the usual traffic going to their jobs. In my rear view mirror I can see this "old guy" on a motorcycle weaving and passing every chance he gets until he is a couple of cars back. He gets stuck there for 3-4 lights and just as luck would have it all the cars in front of me and between us turn off just as we get to where the road opens to a four lane.

So he roars off past me only to sit at the next light. I would not gas on it because we were going past a construcion site with guys all over the place trying to get vehicles off the road onto the site. I pull up next to him in the right lane at the light. Now the road goes on for about a third of a mile maybe less and ends with his lane turning left and mine turning right but no cross streets until the end. I knew he was going to gas on it the moment the light goes green and his is bike is so loud he doesn't hear me boosting against the brakes.

The light goes green and I actually move first which just causes him to really gas on it probably thinking no way this white car gets out in front of me.

He pulls even as boost is still building and the T is really starting to pull hard in 1st. Hit 18# and the tires start to squeal as it settles at 20# with the Alky spray.

Car bangs second before the guy on the bike does and I pull a half a car on him. He shifts to second and falls farther back. The T hits third, I'm still gassing on it and I'm 4 car lengths or so out on him. I hold 3rd WOT for a couple of seconds and then let off to coast up to the end of the road and the next light.

He roars past without looking over and pulls in front of me and has brake really hard to stop at the end of the road and turn right.

I follow him turning right but he races off again but I let him go.

ha ha, most guys on bikes can't stand it if you take off faster than them. It's a great way to start a race. Good kill man!

I'm not sure I'd call it a kill as I don't think he knew it was a race until I pulled him off the light. I just really enjoy "edjamacating" people who "think" they know what "fast" is.

I had been watching him in traffic and he was taking off quickly every chance he got. When I launched and pulled a half car on him is when he really gassed on it but he did not have near enough scooter.

It did really tick him off though to keep falling farther behind the more he gassed it.

A friend of mine has a beautiful, high 9 sec blown 406" (dynoed 675 HP at the wheels) sbc full weight 66 Chevelle (10.80's on pump gas, alky spray and sticky DOTs with a 1.8 60') he runs on the street.

After I get out of his car my T (600+ hp at the crank) feels a tad sluggish because of his instant torque.

Fast/Quick is relative!
