A$$ handed to me by 97 mustang, sort off

NOT a race, but a traffic light show down that happens by shear chance.

I was in my GN first up to bat at Local Red light on the highway, when a Bright red mustang coupe 1997 or so vintage pulls up behind me, I know it was a GT by the sound of his exhaust,

SO I thought, what the Hect, when the light turns green I will lay into my 87 GN and see what happens, SO I DID, AND>>>

I of course got the early jump because I was first inline with a clear field ahead, I am about 500 feet ahead of the mustang when I can see he is comming on like gang busters and gaining, not gaining fast but Gaining.

Well at probably a little over a hundred mph I let off for the sake of safety and he pulls up along side and we BOTH smile and went our seperate ways!

IF this had been and all out race from and even roll I thing that stang would have got the best of me, BUT I may have stood a better chance out of the hole.

What do you think this guy may have been running? 4:10 gears? or a 5.8L V8?

NOW, what is the next Mod I need to make to get an edge?

Take into mind that I am currently running 24 PSI boost on 100 octane.

Coments welcome, REGARDS> TURBO E38

Almost sounds like he was running a 5.8 with a blower. No way he could've cauught up with you if his car didn't have a blower and you got a head start on him running 24lbs.

Of course trying to run a number is fine if that is what you want to do but beware if you walk on the edge sometimes you fall off.
