My first real day out, Killed a Monte!

What a day, since my wife just rolls her eyes, thought I’d share here. First off, the wife’s friend called my car a Monte, then I drop off my daughter at her friends and her Dad calls it a Monte? Anyhow, the TT chips rock, here is the numbers the car is turning:

So I leave to go get some beer and as I’m leaving the neighborhood a real Monte pulls out in front of me a 71 or 72, hell they all look the same right. Anyhow, he knows I’m behind him. So I follow him out down the road, he has his kids with him and we get down to the light and it turns red. His Monte sounds pretty bad, nice choppy idle. So we are side by side with windows down and he says it sure is nice to let them breath once in awhile. The light turns green and we start off, nothing hard and then he nails it. Well, he had me…….., until I hit second and it was all over . God that felt good! It down shifted, let out a nice squawk and then I just plain smoked him. Waited until I was a couple of cars in front of him and let off, him still trying blew past waived and said bye.

Headed to the liquor store and this just made my day, parked out of the way and a guy in a Harley pulled in beside me, gets off his bike and says, 87 right? To that I say yea, still grinning from my first kill. And then he says so, intercooled sweet car. Nice someone knew what it was . Respect, it was a good day!

No wonder you guys/gals keep upgrading. This Sh*t is addicting!

Fun as f*** isnt it lol. When I race, win or lose, if it's a balls out race, I can't stop smiling. For some odd reason, racing is just hilarious. It's the best drug in the world next to a good old fashioned fire fight.

Cool part was I was just out to get some beer Not looking for it and then we were lined up at the stop light, a couple cars behind us, but the coast was clear. Only took it to 70 or so before I let off, but at that point it was obvious who won The car really pulls hard and just keep on pulling

The car, I've had for a year, but it was a car that sat for a long time and was somewhat cobbled up, you know parts missing, bolts missing that kind of thing. It had a crappy trans in it that shifted all wrong, stock injectors and a questionable chip. All is good right now , no squeaks, rattles or knock!

Spent most of the day working on appreance, 1500, 2000, rubbing compound, wax. Although the paint is far from perfect, it's a 5' now, really looks nice
