Unhappy guttedstang handed the smackout

Raced a 89 guttedstang coupe. Had the usual plus a few other things. (cam, gears, heads, full slicks, and extreme weight loss program) The guys talked me inyo racing this stang reluctantly. I gave it a shot, damn guy almost pulled the wheels off the ground. Some how I knew at that point I was in trouble, and I was. Stang got out to a 4 car length lead right out the hole. I on the other hand could only launch with one lb. of boost which turned out to be a disaster anyway. I still managed to make all of 1st and part of 2nd gear useless. That's what I get for Having almost bald bfg. radil t/a's on my car. Needless to say they'll be a rematch with the stickies. At the very least though I was running him down on the top.
