It appears to have the GNX suspension laying on the ground, ASC sticker on the door, SW GNX dash cluster, GNX number on the dash.

Also has the GNX fender flares, vents, and a GNX turbo shield on the motor on the stand.

Is this a real GNX?

Sure looks like the real thing doesn't it? Poor GNX....

I want to say that I saw that car at ANS several years ago. Somebody had a real GNX in there getting a SBC swapped in after having blown up several 109 and stage motors one after the other. I seem to remember the plates on that car read "X DOES 9" though.

I remember talking to this guy about it once a few years back when it was in autotrader. It is a real X, he has all the stock un-modded parts for it.

You have to admit, even though they modded it as much as they did, it looks like a pretty clean install.

+1!

You beat me too it 'cause when I saw TURBOPOWERED68's comment that was the first thing that came to mind.

Besides, no matter how nice, how could the baddest GNX ever be Chivy powered?

Glen,

That car looks sick but it's a little out of my league.
I don't think I would have bought a GNX and modified it at much as this or Buddy's car but to each their own.
This car looks like a kick butt street car.

I havent heard much out of Buddy in quite a few years. I think the car has run some 8.0s. Last time I saw the car was at Englishtown in 1998 and it was backhalved and pretty much gutted at that point.

He lives in MD.. maybe Billy A knows something about it.

He moved to PA somewhere. Last I heard they were working on it somewhere in Michigan to make it "real fast".
