fuel line, pressure side

I'm converting an 81 El Camino. Factory conventional fuel delivery for NA carbed V6 (no fuel return return). I'm reusing that supply line as the new return line, but now I need to add a new fuel line. Braided satinless and A/N fittings look cool and all, but isn't there a better way? The original hanger I salvaged just had 2 hose clamps on it into a rubber hose. Safe or not?

fuel line

I would just use steel break line. Thats what I used on mine 3/8 all the way back. Just use hp injector hose between the pump and line etc. They also have coated ones too. I used the raw ones and started to rust a little so if you go that way I would paint it after the install. Hope that helps
