Question intake material

anyone know what type of material the stock intake is made out of?

Aluminum, but it seems slightly different than the 86-87 manifolds. Using the same dremel to port both styles, the shavings were different between the two. A ran into a few big air pockets in the casting when I was porting it.

so what did you do about the air pockets? will they affect air flow?
