Vacuum Question

I have a 1984 T-Type and have a vacuum question. On the Vacuum Control Valve at the firewall the front outlet on the drivers side is blocked. It appears to me that a vacuum line is supposed to run from the wastegate to this outlet. Is that correct? What does it being plugged affect, if anything? Thanks.

Do you have a single or double hose waste gate actuator? Brad

The original waste gate actuator on the 84/85 was a two hose one. In the picture below you can see the hose that is plugged as I have a single hose one installed. The theory for the two hose was to relieve pressure while climbing hills. Not necessary which is why the 86/87 have a single hose waste gate actuator. I am going back to the double hose waste gate actuator because is sits lower and does not trach the hoodliner. Take-care- Brad

Thanks for your reply. I notice on a diagram that I am looking at that the rear outlet on the drivers side says HVAC/Cruise. Could the front outlet being plugged and not connected to the wastgate be a cause for the cruise to not work? My cruise is not working and I am trying to track down that problem. Thanks.

I am looking at the vacuum diagram and the front left nozzle is plugged. This is not your cruise problem. I would follow the HVAC/cruise line an make sure their are not leaking and are hooked up correctly. My car does not have cruise control. If this does not solve your problem I have all the Chassi and body manuels. I can look it up if you cannot find your problem. Brad

Thanks Brad. I will let you know if I need any other help. It may be a while before I try to trace the cruise problem. In all honesty it is not very high on my list right now. I just thought I may have found my problem. Thanks again.
