group purchase

I just wanted to say a few words about the group purchase that I am workining on. First I want to thank all of those people who are in on the deal!

The kits are beyond the half way point and a few will be shipped in less than than 2 weeks.

When I first said I would do this it was the deal to start the work as soon as the the deposits where all in. I made a mistake by doing it that way I guess. Two things went wrong. First, and this is not too bad, the last deposit I got was recieved on the 27th of nov. Since that was getting aways from when I recieved the 1st deposit I started work on all the kits I got orders from and bought all of the parts to make this happen. Big mistake, 2 orders failed to be paid for. At 350.00 worth of parts times 2 big mistake on my part. This is all my fault and the only reason Im stating any of this is for the future. I will not be doing the group purchase slated for feb. But I have decided to lower the price of the kits to 1300.00 which is close enough to the GP price. And I will go back to doing the sales the way I did before the GP came about.
I want to say how sorry I am for the time frame of this and I hope all of you have a great holiday.
jay

Sorry to hear about the problems Jay. I know the big thing about this group purchase was commitment... and too many people seemed to have their eye on the prize, but didn't have the cash to get it.

What you're doing is fair, and I think the lowering of the price was a great compromise, and I thank you for that.

You'll probably hear from me in a few months.. I'm about 99% sure I'll be ordering one of your great kits. Thanks Jay.

Dave

Cool GP

Jay:

I certainly hope that my late order didn't add to your grief. I thought that you were very accomodating in allowing me to be added when you did and I appreciate it.

Jay.....

Let me begin firstly by saying that I am glad to be "in" on the group purchase and I am
anxiously awaiting my kit so that I can blast off from my driveway when this snowy
season leaves us.

Let me also say how unfortunate it is that many say they are "in" when in fact they
don't have the cash (IE: in their accounts or wallets). This leaves the vendor (Jay) making an investment in product that won't get sold to the intended customer on the intended time frame. It's great to show interest - but don't say you are "in" when you know you don't immediately have the funds to support the decision.

Although the one's who say they are in when they are not may not be malicious in
any way - it causes obvious difficulty for the vendor and in turn - causes future purchase's /
products to be cancelled due to market uncertainty.

My message here is NOT a flame to those who dropped out of the deal but it is a message to
us all that we should be certain of our word especially when it involves the exchange of money
and product. Thank Jay for being so patient and understanding with us or else he might have
decided to cancel on us altogether.
