You would be hard pressed to find an exact match....Hell, GM couldn't do it year to year either. I have an 86 blue interior, my dad has an 85 blue interior, and a friend of mine has an 86 blue interior and they are all different in texture, pattern design, and shade of blue. Although the differences are minor, they are definitely not the same. You can really tell it if we park side by side.......good luck in your search.

I had a sample of the seat material send to me by conn84gn a while back (Thanks again!) The sample is the exact same as the "new material" you got.
I am not sure if my interior is faded and worn, but it is different (Just like you are seeing)

I plan on (some day) re-doing the complete interior, and no one will therefore ever know/see the difference.

The sample I sent Jerryl Was from the guy in Oregon.
$75.00 a yd in 2001 and it was a perfect match to my 84 GN interior
I had the four side panel on the seat replaced and you can't tell

I can't remember the address.
Maybe 84HAGN has it
I haven't done the upper door panels yet but I have enough fabric
Your right about the sun fade and wear,it does change the look
Also the Armrest was made by Jax seat covers and it's very close

Thanks for posting.
How many yards do you need for the COMPLETE interor, including door panels?

If you look on the material I sent you it is dated 84 on the back.
I'm wondering if it lost some shape due to the fact that it was pulled when being installed?

After going through a lot of interior samples in the recent weeks, I would say the new cloth looks like an 84's color and has that larger diamond pattern and the existing fabric on your car looks like the modern tighter patterned pewter Pallex.

Seat Material

Brian when i looked at the material it looks good just doesnt match my seats
so i cant really use it to patch the sides so i will have to find some other stuff to refinish them.
Theres no doubt that the material you sent me is for an 84 GN because I have seen others interior with it just think mine is an off the wall POS.
It certanly is a challange fixing up this gem when so little parts and support
are left for it.
If it wasnt for guys like you and a few others I think the 84 GN would end up
gone forever. Come to think of it thats probely why so many of them have either been parted out or changed over to the 85-87 interiorand drive train,
I dont think i will ever find a perfect match so i will look for something close
and redo the entire interior.Hopefully with something a little less expensive
the place in oregon SMS i think has the same material you sent me but they want 90.00 a yard for it .
Brian is it still alright to return the material I got from you.
Thanks

I know for a fact the int of my 84 gn has never been replaced, and it matches the stuff Brian sent you. (but you've already figured that out)

Brian, just a heads up. I'll be recovering my seats, upper door skins, and rear quarter cards probably by late summer of next year. hopefully you'll have some around. I'd buy the yardage I need right now, but my budget for this black money pit is at its limit for the next couple months.

Mike of course you can return it. $90 a yard is a deal bud for the real stuff. I'm embarassed to tell you what I paid for that material!

If I can get Herb's off e-bay it will not be a problem. It is just getting tough to find. I have 5 sets or more of lier seats here I want to do but didn't want to waste the material on OK seats. Been saving the pieces to go around & save the nicer seats out there.

Brian,

I am sending you an E-mail with some better pics!

I have attached a picture of a piece of material I got from Brian a few years ago off of a T-Type with the Lear interior. The piece is on the left and the cloth that I have is on the right.
Attached Images
