putting new cam in

I put my cam in today and rebuilt with new bearings . I want to put the timimg chain on and line the dots up , but i was not sure what way the cam want its a comp cam 206 it has two nipples on the top and a flat spot on the bottom. So if number 1 cyl is TDC the valves should be closed and the cam should be with the niples on top right . I want to make sure before i put it in this weekend , dont want to pull it apart again.

I would like to make it to the track this year to get a run in with the cool air. How many miles should i put on new crank and rod bearings before running it hard at the track.

thanks guys

the bolt holes will only line up one way...

as far as the bearings if there not spun or knocking when you bring it down to idle from cam breakin then give it hell
