f-body radiator + dual fans

I just bought a new f-body aluminum radiator with ramcharger dual fans, and Im trying to figure out how to mount the fans onto the radiator, anyone have any suggestions? The fans are just about as big as the radiator. I was also wondering, will the top upper radiator support still work, or do I have to find a different one?

I have the same combo. The fans are a little bigger than the radiator. You will have to file off about .25" to get them to fit. You'll need the 86-87 upper radiator shroud. You can find them in the junkyard in any V8 G-body. I used mine to help hold the fans in. The tab on the top of the fans slides up into the shroud. Then I made a bracket to hold the bottom.

Just to verify, the upper mounting panel cool is refering to will only be found on G-bodies with the Olds 307/260 V-8's. The SBC cars didn't use them.

I fashioned some brackets out of aluminun straps and I'm using 3 of the four mounting tabs on the side of the shroud to hold it to the radiator support. The shroud I am using is only a couple of thousands wider than the core and if you push you can seat it between the side tanks. The straps I am using only keep it from popping out.
