That's interesting, why would someone try to flip it and only make $3k? Doesn't seem worth the trouble.

It sounds like the deal didn't go through. According to the Ebay auction, Capital One has a loan on the car and that would be pretty quick to get it cleared and title in hands to new owner. Same town as the Ebay auction as well.
