I smell gas
I replaced the TPS and it solved my high rpm stumble. But I still smell gas. No leaks that I can see, no hissing sounds. But I can still smell gas, and now O2mVs get up to 830-840 sometimes. Even just cruising. Could I have a leaky injector?

Sounds like a good time to crawl under and check the fuel lines where they run through the frame below the power steering pump. They have rubber hose covering there but my friends was wearing just past it and was almost through...would've been bad...

OY! It was the high pressure fuel line under the power steering pump. It was rubbing up against the metal clamp on the power steering line and actually rubbed through the METAL fuel line!!! Aychihuaha! Coulda been nasty--although it was spraying gas on the bottom of the power steering pump, nowhere near a spark. But it don't take much. Thanks for the words of advice!

That's a BIG thanks Mark. I had one car catch on fire before; a fuel-injected VW bus. Fortunately there was a fire truck parked next to us and they put it out, but it was scary.
Again, thanks. Keith BTW, see my next post. Low low BLMs (96-128), high O2 volts (777-830), with vac-off fuel pressure at 34psi. What's up with that?

Just for the info
I recently had a fuel smell that was driving me crazy, it kind-of smelled like it was around the drivers door, then like it was around the back of the car, then the whole blasted car smelled! I finally found it! It was one of the rubber lines up on top of the fuel tank. It leaked enough to smell, but as it covered the top of the gas tank, (it was a very small leak), it would evaporate before you could see the liquid. I went ahead and replaced all of the rubber up on top of the tank. BTW there is a DIFFERENCE between fuel injection rubber hose and non-FI. There's a difference in the clamps as well, make sure you ask! Hope that helps. - T
