emissions test results.. how bad is this?

Hey guys.. i wanted to know how good/bad my car is compared to the 'norm' for a TR with a cat.. im guessing pretty bad cause NOx was pretty close.. here are the results:

High Speed (25mph) standard/observed reading
RPM 1936
HC 148 / 50
CO 0.94 / 0.24
CO2 / 15.0
O2 / 0.0
NOx 1047 / 980
DILUTION >6 / 15.2

RPM 1434
Low Speed (15mph)
HC 152 / 52
CO 0.86 / 0.17
CO2 / 15.0
O2 / 0.1
NOx 1146 / 1089
DILUTION >6 / 15.2

now this is on an 84 T-Type, the "mods" that i can guess that might affect emissions would be..

1. 160* thermostat
2. dr side header SLIGHT leak barely audible, i can only tell its ticking when im backing out of the garage or something.
3. fuel pressure was jacked up to like 45-48psi static

this car has a new catco 3" 14" long cat.

the temp outside was near freezing if cold weather makes a big deal.. i tried to get the car all warmed up.. like people said. 10 mins on the hwy prior and then it took 10 minutes of street driving to get there, so i boosted it a few times before i pulled up.

anyway.. can someone explain what i can do to pull that NOx down for next year? i hear testa's car passes WITHOUT cats so... i figure im a long ways off

thanks guys

Proper egr function with clean passages will help reduce nox the most. After miles the egr passages can get clogged and cause this problem.
