I have always had a Vac/Boost gauge. The Vac. reading is a good way to make sure your car is running consistant, and that you have no leaks in the intake.
Auto Meter makes a nice 30-0-30 Unit that provides great readings. The gauge requires no extra hookup other then running the boost line. IMO: Get the vac/boost gauge.

Just put a new Autometer 4303 Ultralight in salvageV6 today.
![]() 30-0-30 gauge. Very nice. Within 1 pound accuracy across the board with my calibrated very expensive gauge. Replaced my VDO one that was 1.5lbs. off and non-linear in response. Putting that one on the GN to see vacuum it only has a boost gauge now. Vacuum is good to have for tuning. |

My car originally had a 2-1/16" vac/boost gauge, but found it could be a little hard to read when things started getting a little hectic in the car. I ended up replacing it with a 2-5/8" boost gauge instead. I'm going to put a vac gauge under the radio along with a tranny temp gauge.
