Anyone use ROL Headgaskets?

Wondering what the thoughts are on the ROL headgaskets. I have blown 3 headgaskets in the last 5,000 miles and 1 was stock, and the other were the FelPro's I used to replace the stock ones. I am currently running the ROL gaskets since they are the only one's available in my area (and also only cost $13). I was leary of using them at first, but when I did my cam and noticed I also had a blown HG it was the D/S FelPro gasket and not the P/S ROL gasket. After that, I installed another ROL on the D/S and haven't had any problems since.

Just want to know if others have had better or worse luck on the turbo buicks with the ROL gaskets.

I say go with whatever works for you... but I would suggest you have a much larger problem than the brand of gasket if you are blowing them running in the 13's. Both the factory and Felpro 9441 gaskets are very strong gaskets when installed properly.

The first HG blew from a bad coilpack, the second from an overboost condition (25psi on 91 boctane) and the third blew when I wiped my cam and had a bent pushrod, tons of knock, and an exhaust lobe in the oil filter. Yes I have had my share of problems, but was not impressed with the felpro gasket that blew both the #4 and #6 at the same time or the one that blew the #3 when #1 wasn't opening valves. In both cases it just seems that the felpro gaskets did not perform as expected. ie.. 2 cylinders at the same time, and a different cylinder than was the problem. JMHO

P.S. I am becoming a well versed mechanic on the turbo buicks by learning things the hard way. I don't baby my care to extreme measures, but try to take care of it the best I can, but have just had bad luck and been uninformed at times.

Ok well that explains alot, but I wouldn't judge a certain HG under those kinds of conditions.
