Pypes install help please

I'm trying to install a Pypes exhaust system in my turbo Buick powered El Camino. Because my wheelbase is 5 or 6 inches longer, the tubes over the axles won't fit and I need to extend them. Anyone know what type of stainless they are made of? Does anyone have some installed pics of how the hangers are installed??

Thanks, that's correct. I used the search feature, but you have to wade through every post that says 'Pypes' or 'install'. Now to find a muffler shop that has some on hand in 2.5".

Why not just ask the guys at Pypes what to do?

The muffler shop's pipes won't be mandrel bent. I'd contact Pypes like TR Custom said to do.

Angry

Lengthening the dump pipe would prohibit the use of the hanger at the crossmember. I contacted a local shop who will cut me a couple of pieces of 2.5" 409 12 inches long and I'll cut them to fit. Can't get it until monday though.

since you want to make use of the stock cat flange then just extend the flange length 5"
extending the tails will alters the width (by the springs and for the tailshaft mounts)due to fact the mufflers are angled out , will create more headaches ,
