Outside Door Sill Weatherstripping

These are the weatherstips that squeegy the window as it goes up and down.
Who's a good source for them?

Thanks!

Any trickery involved in swapping them?

Looks like the interior door panel has to come off...what about the window? Looks like some of the screws are still obstructed by the window when it's all the way down.

I didn't have to take the window out when replacing the dew sweeps, I did this last year, I started out by lowering the window all the way down, then I took off the upper door panel, loosened the side stops, then I took out the center bolt at the bottom of the window so it would drop down a little bit more. Next I pulled the window back and I used an angled phillips head screw driver to get screw out, and don't forget to spray the screws with some PB blaster.

turbojd,

not sure if you're talking about the same thing i am

but if you remove the lower door panel, there is an adjustable window stopper that limits the travel of the power window. if you remove the bolt holding this in and let it fall into the door (dont worry, theres plenty of room to get your arm in to reattach it, then you can lower the window all the way down and dont need any type of angled screw driver.

it takes all of 5 minutes.

TType84, Thats what I was talking about the window stop, and your rightI was using the angled phillips head screwdriver before I decided to take out the window stop and let the window drop down some more, then it was a piece of cake.

Yeah I paid $100.00 for my dew sweeps about 5 years ago from Kirbans, had them sitting in the garage for a few years until I needed them last year, the old ones were really cracked bad.

My interior door panels are cherry originals. How exactly do they come off without damaging them?

I used a tool made for popping out the door panel clips, if some break while doing this you can get replacements at any auto parts store. It's not a big deal to pop the panels off without the tool I used, I've used a screwdriver too.

Postons Buick also has them.

Use a phillips screwdriver that has a 90 degree bend in it and put a rag or tape on the window glass to keep from scratching it.

Follow directions already posted, take your time and you should not have any problems. Takes maybe 1 - 1.5 hours per side start to finish.

Just did mine about a month ago and all of the above mentioned tips really helped.
