ESC Module (Where to get one)

The setup I bought (86) for my Hybrid project was missing the ESC module. Does anyone know the GM part number I should be looking for, or even better where I can find one?

Thanks,
Matt

Lightbulb

I can feel your frustration with this hard to find part.

Go to < nos 4 gn .com >
Obviously you take out the spaces after s , 4 , and n.

Under ignition category.
I've had great service from this company in the past.
I'm not exactly sure of the differences between the two, but, I have interchanged '86 & '87 ESC modules on mine and friends cars in the past when trouble shooting.

Patrick,

Thanks, looks like they are local for me. All the better.

I just hope I get the project going before I run into a part that I can't get.

Matt

You might try posting in the parts wanted forum here. I have been messing around with these cars for 20 years and have never had or seen one of these go bad,so used should be ok to use.

They are kid of like Bigfoot.
Once and a while there is a sighting.

If you see one get it quick. I got lucky the other day on a modded one.

Very good advice, thanks for that. Not like I won't need to spend the $100 on something esle. I have bought a lot of parts on this board, everyone I have delt with so far has been great.

Some of the prices for parts have gone way up. The parts stores want from $57.00 to well over $200.00 for this module now.

I got mine at nos4gn Get the one for an 87' code "HKP" The 86's are code "BLO" There is a minor difference in the filtering between the two. Either will work. A change was made in 87' to get rid of some possible false knock.
