AC compressor or just clutch?

Well, was on the highway cruising, 60 mph with the 1984.
Suddenly, I smell smoke, like en electrical fire. (****)
I pull over and there is smoke pouring from the AC compressor clutch.
Unhooked the power, Started the car ...... Head spins freely, belt does not "squeak" ........ Closed the hood and kept going.
70 Miles later, no issues, except "No Ac" in this 97F weather!

Lots of questions;
Not sure If the unit is still ok and maybe can just replace the clutch(??)
If not, .............
What is the best place to purchase a good AC compressor? PN appears obsolete at GM. (??)
Looked for "Savanah Air", but could not locate them.

Yeah, probably right about the seal.
What do you think of these units?

Get a new compressor. If it got that hot than most likely the shaft seal needs to be replaced. Add in the cost of clutch,bearing and shaft seal replacement and you're money ahead by replacing the compressor.
