looks like a fusible link, it has two red wires down to one red wire. hope the pics help

Did you just change the starter? Looks like one wire was left off. oops

no, the fusible links going to the starter are there, the car starts and runs good. its been four years since i tore this car apart and forget how half this stuff goes back together, could one of these links control the fan because that doesnt work either i have the wired to a switch right now

Bingo, the 2 red wires go to the high & low coolant fan relays, powered by the one red wire at the starter stud. - Jimmy.

thanks, they hook up to the other ones then. my regal book only showed two going to the starter.

fixed it today, car doesnt get hot now stayed about 175 with no airflow over the rad
