Talking 1997 Skylark suggestions

Hi all this is my first post here.
I'm the proud owner of a 1997 Buick skylark(the V6 kind). I bought it out of the classifieds and it's in great condition 75,000 miles and runs good. I want to make it a little bit less dull. it's currentally gold with tan interior I'm thinking about painting it black but from there i have no idea where to go. I'm thinking engine and aftermarket parts. If anyone has any ideas please tell me I'm open to almost anything. My budget is about 1000$ but don't let that limit anything.

I myself already went over every possibility with a car like that, and I came up empty handed. There's not much you can do bro. The paint alone will be double that budget. The cheapest way to go, is to get the supercharged GS version of that platform, and go from there.

That car has the weener 3100 V-6 in it. Do a search. Tons of things for it out there on the internet. We are mostly old school Buick 3.8 here. The only good advice you'll get is that your car makes a good boat anchor. Post back if you have a drivabilty problem. Otherwise you're on your own as far as modding goes.

Theres the modded ecm, with a 180 thermostat and 91 octane requirement, and good shocks with good tires, but other than that, you aren't going to extract much out of that car.
