battery box?

I have a 87 GN and it has no battery box should it have one anyone?

The battery tray is built into the right side inner fender wheel house. There is a strap that holds the battery in place. That is it- no box.

Yep no batt tray, it just sists on the inner fender and uses a plastic t strap to hold it down.
