I need to update everyone on the broken TA rocker shaft issue. After finding the reciept, I see that they sent me (and billed me) for a stock replacement rocker shafts, NOT the Heavy Duty shaft. I'm not sure how I got the wrong shafts, but they didn't bill me for Heavy Duty Shafts, and then send me stock shafts. So, If you have Heavy Duty shafts from TA, they will be FINE for nearly ANY spring rate/RPM you can throw at a stock rocker arm. Just look at the hole in the shaft. If it has a hole in it that is MUCH smaller than the stock shaft (nearly 1/4" wall thickness) then you have the HD shafts. If the shafts look almost the same (wall thickness) as stock, then you probably have the Sealed Power replacement shafts. (approx. $60) The stock replacement shafts will not hold up to a roller cam with out the RJC "caps". (IMO)
Thanks to Nick Micale. He offered to step up and help us out, even though he is just a distributor for TA. Kudos. It was no fault of TA's, other than a possible mis-communication, but it was probably my fault ordering the wrong ones. Just thought I would set the record staight, here. TA is back on the "most favored nation" status, for me. Next time, I will be more careful ordering parts. (Their online cataloge has too many BIG words for simple 'ol me. )
