odometer setting

I did a search and did not find what i was looking for. Any help will be great. Bought a new speedo cluster and what to match the mileage on the new cluster to actual miles on the car. What is the best way to accomplish this? Any local speedo shops in the la area that anyone can recommend? I would like to do it myself if possible.

It's easy to do, but it takes some patience. You need to remove the movement assembly by removing the clip. Then you need to very carefully remove the paper seal without breaking it.

Once you get the seal off, you simply twist the numbers backward, align the stops and view the digits that are opposite the stops. Once you achieve the proper numbers, replace the seal and put the assembly back together.

I made this sound simple, and once you understand how it works, it is pretty simple.
