Getting ready for a future grudge match VS. a Mustang

Getting ready for a future grudge match

A friend has a stick mustang that was Dyno-Tuned 4 days ago and puts to the wheels 288HP
How would I do with my Chevelle against this car.
My list
1-340M
2-hot wire
3-TTchip
4-2.5 exhaust
5-stock every thing else

OK so no alky, just get several gallons of race gas and crank up the boost - do not run the car before the race except to warm it up

My car
1-NO
2-YES, but looking into Aurban, powetrax locker or Moroso Posi and Mini spools that just replace the spider gears.
and i might go with 355 gears.
3-G60 15 or 255-60-15
4-1992

and lots and lots of Ship talking stated 6 months ago.

If he can drive I think you'll be in trouble. He's 288 at the wheels that's over 300 at the crank. That's enough to be mid-low 13's in a light stang. Your Chevelle is probably no lightweight. With a boost increase the power may be close but with a peg leg and street tires it will really come down to your driving skills. Practice your leave and on race day fill it up with race gas, dial in some boost, leave like you practiced, let the extra boost help on the top end, and pray that he spins and can't drive.

Good Luck

I would get posi, MT DR, K&N cone, alky, chip (4 d alky), adjust wastgate.

He would not have a chance. The above combo with what you have leaving with as much boost as you can hold.

As far as the mudstain does he have gears and good hooking rubber?

I have a K&N cone
Money is super tight. So the rest is out.

"mudstain" has brand new I think MT tires they look like dog bone shaped thread and skinnies in the front.
His car is a fresh build he just finished it 2 weeks ago.

on my build would sunoco 94 help me much.
