Any Advice?

Ok guys, I am having some electrical issues and hoping maybe some one can help. Every time I turn my headlights on, my digital turbo gauge goes out and my dash lights won't come on. I checked the fuse box and all of my fuses are good. Also, can anyone tell me how to set a fuel pressure regulator? I bought it a while back and I never have messed with it because a friend set it for me. I would just like to know how to do it my self. I have a Walbro fuel pump and 42.5 lb injectors. I made a fuel pressure gauge, but it dosn't reach my windsheild. Is it posible to set the regulator without driving the car?

Thanks in Advance

It sounds like you need a new headlight switch.
The pressure regulator is VERY easy to adjust. You only need the appropriate allen wrench and an open end or cresent wrench. Talk with your chip burner and see what they suggest for initial fuel pressure setting. Then loosen the jam nut, and then tighten the top screw (usually an allen type) to increase pressure and loosen (counterclock wise) to lower pressure. Most settings are made with the vacuum hose disconnected. (talk with your chip burner for the setting and if it's with or with out the hose connected. This can be done while the engine is running and you are under the hood. It's OK that the gauge is not able to be seen from inside the car, HOWEVER if you race it I would suggest an in car gauge or hood mounted unit. Watching fuel pressure is as important, if not more, than watching boost pressure.

A bad groung will also cause the dashlight problem.
Two problem areas are the shifter light at the console and the area at radio / cigarette lighter.

I would start at the console.
Does your gear indicator light work?

No my gear shifter light hasn't worked sense I have owned the car which has been about four years or so, I just figured it needed a light bulb. Also come to think of it my lights on my air conditioner panel have never come on either, that is if there are any light located there. I also have alky on my car any every time the spray comes on I can hear a loud whistle through my speakers, is that normal, I would assume not. The alky is grounded really well, but I don’t know about the rest of the stuff or even as where to begin looking, in order to fix.

Thanks again
