Waste gate actuator ????

I have learned to dislike those wonderful "e" clips that every Turbo Buick owner on this board loves.

Any tips at to how you keep the actuator attached to the wastegate arm without that darn clip? Pics would be nice. Mine has an aligator clip holding it on, but it ain't purdy !!!

Wink clips

Hi,
If you prefer, try an old GM throttle clip. They snap into place, and i think the shaft diameter they are designed for is pretty close to the same size. Look at your throttle body and see.Dorman sells them, plenty of others, too.

I use a hair pin clip. It is smaller and no where as noticable as an alligator clip plus it sticks out further than an e-clip so you don't have to use a pick to get it off. You can pop it off and back on with your hand if you want.

I agree the hairpin cotton pins work great. I've been using them for years.
