High Idle , blm high IAC counts down

I am posting this for anyone else who may have a similar problem.
Last weekend my car decided to start idling high @ around 1000-1200 rpm. The IAC would count down to 0 when in park and the idle would not kick down.

I did a search for the above problems and most said to replace or just clean the IAC valve, some said MAF. I tried a replacement MAF ( stupid reman; that wasn't the problem)

So I took off the IAC and the little pintle cone shaped tip thingy had unscrewed itself from the shaft and fallen into the bore. Screwed it back on and reset ecm and all was fine again.
Hope that helps.

Not sure what prompted that post other than the town I live in, the original post had nothing to do with that.
As far as that goes I believe he has been in Corcoran since around '97. As a prisoner he was never a member of our community. Try to keep on subject somewhat as that had nothing to with the post or was it of any value.
