3.8 swap into a 65 chevy II
Just looking for some ideas here about what I may be getting into.
Over the years I have been a huge 62-67 chevy II fan (owned 3 of them) as well as a buick nut (owned 6 TR's so far).. I may have lost my mind, but since I can't have both, I am seriously thinking about swapping a 3.8 into a 65 chevy II I just bought. I am looking for any insight from anyone who may have done this swap or one similiar. I am not terribly concerned about the mechanical part, but the electrical/computer issues (going from an old carb v8 to EFI) do concern me. I have general mechanical knowledge, and access to a few good fabricators. Time is not really an issue, but of course I'd like to get it done as quick as possible. I also don't have any money trees so I'll be taking the Kendall route and trying to do as much as I can myself (or hopefully with the help of some good friends). Parts donations will be greatly appreciated as will any advice you can give. If I do take on this project, I will keep a detailed build up journal for everyone's viewing pleasure. Thanks..
