fuel system plumbing

hi,

i am designing a dual fuel system for my car which will use the stock tank for pump gas for traveling and a metco fuel cell for racing.the fuel cell is the one designed to go into the spare tire well and is designed to use my double pumper stock style hanger.
i have figured out how i am going to wire it im just not very sure on how i want to do the plumbing and the valving to switch it over.any help or ideas would be apreciated.

I'd look into some Jaguar fuel injected car dual tank switching valves.

Have to verify they will handle the pressure from the pumps.

The one JC Whitney sells doesn't I don't think.

Need to switch the feed, return, and maybe the vent.

there are two ways to do this, either way you will need to run a walbro 340 in the tank to operate on pump gas (good to 600HP) and the double pumper in the fuel cel (twin 340Ms)

route the stock sender line into a hose barb into -8 AN line ( I can weld you up an adapter coupling from 3/8" hose to '8AN) run this line into one side of a three way solenoid valve or mount a teflon sealed brass ball valve to this line on one end, connect either of these to a magnaflow -8AN Y block (will go into the side with two inputs) NEXT from the double pumper run one (another one of those couplings) -8 line into the other port of the hydraulic solenoid valve OR ANOTHER (will need 2) brass teflon sealed ball valve ( use 3/8" NPT fittings, they match up to -8AN perfectly) next run your feed line (if using stock line you will need another one of those custom barb to -8AN adapters...)

good luck! send me an email if you need help, the three way hydraulic valves are a bit pricey (around $150 a piece) but they're electronic and you can wire it to simply flip a switch and have race fuel....instead of the ball valves which you will need to manually switch in the trunk or underneath the back of the car....I like the electronic valves and by the time you're done buying a good pair of the brass ones you could be there....

OR...hehe you could just hook it up the 340 pumps have an internal check valve send me an email!
