It depends, do they actually have wire in the heads or are they reciever
grooves for the 1007 Fel Pro?. Typically o'ring wire grooves are .030-.035 deep. If that's the case it would be better to weld the grooves up.If the other then they should be .010-.012 deep and surfacing is not a problem. The TA rockers could be modified to work with the champion heads.
