track results

last night i finally took my GN to the track, i was a little disappointed but hey it was my first time, and the car is completely stock, except for the k and n filter, cat back exhaust and a new tranny with a red strip converter and a shift kit...

first run about 68 out, i didnt launch the car that hard... and barked the tires a little

60' 2.348
330' 6.244
1/8 9.506
MPH 74.86
1000 12.357
1/4 14.788
MPH 92.55

second run, i locked up the converter and tryed launching around 4psi. i had a little bit of wheel hop, and it was about 62 out.

60' 2.269
330 6.128
1/8 9.310
MPH 76.70
1000 12.082
1/4 14.438
MPH 95.29

last run i locked up the converter again and launched a little bit harder, about 5psi and i had really really bad wheel hop, i feel like a hyper child on crack or something, i was bouncing all over the place, well, anyways while spinning my car decided to start to head towards the wall for a second, it straightned out, but i lost part of the run, now it was like 56ish out

60' 2.358
330 6.764
1/8 10.085
MPH 74.30
1000 12.923
1/4 15.314
MPH 94.09

tell me what you think about my runs, thanks blackshoebox was there, so he may be able to tell you something that he noticed from out side that i couldnt tell. thanks again

neil

how much boost were you running? street tires, slicks, drag radials?

if u were on street tires and pump gas those # arent too horrible.
these cars are all about the launch, so keep practicing. it all takes time. HTH

Oh boy

What you need to do is get a walbro 340 fuel pump, and hotwire kit,and 10mm taylor wires, with an adjustable fuel regulator and most important the scanmaster.Until you at least have these things you shouldnt even race your car.I dont want to read that you blew a headgasket or something.Be patient with the car. theyre very sensitive.I bought my gn and just called cottons performance.I spent around 2500 to 3000 from 14 sec. to 12.01. Remember the rule any great combo beats a uneducated one.I didnt even know what the parts i ordered looked like or even what there purpose was,but i took the pros advise and now im running with the big boys.Check uot our website and see us tear it up at the track.click here and go to videos Nov. 9th atco http://paturbobuickracing.servebeer.com
