launching

I have vacuum brakes. DIY.

I pull thru the h2o box and clean em.

I do a short and to the point burnout with 255/50/16 MT drs

Next I pull up and hit the first light,

Then put it in neutral and rev the motor to build vacuum in the booster while pushing my foot down on the pedal (I try to stick my foot thru the floor)

Next I put it in gear and start building boost. When the car starts flexing, usually around 4-5 lbs I ease off the brake quickly for a split second to hit the second bulb and get the boost exactly where I want it to launch before the tree drops.

Hammer the shizzle out of it

as taught to me by Randy

My launch style.

I drive around the water box, then back into it. I leave the car in drive and start the burnout with a moderate tire spin, then I let it shift into second for more smoke, then when it shifts into 3rd I release the brake and let it crawl out while giving it a good amount more of throttle. One quick dry hop (dont know why) then right into the beams. I then pump the brakes 3 times and hold it down and build as much boost as possible. Leave on the second yellow. It worked for me with a .009 best light so far.
