shift point advice

Ive only made 6 or 7 passes with my turbo car last year and each time I just left the car in overdrive. I dont remember the exact shift points recorded on the DFI data log, but my question to u veteran turbo guys is, should I be manually shifting my lil over-achiever, and if so, what are the shift points on a stock motor with a ta49 and 36#ers?

I'm not smart enough to shift myself. But I, and a lot if not most others, leave it in DRIVE. Putting it into OD will cost you several MPH unless you are going through the traps at very high ~ 6000RPM in Drive.

I'm glad I asked

Thanks for the reply, I guess thats why the car was only going 104 thru the traps. This year I will leave it drive and hope for the best.
