Stock heads vs. Ported heads

I've got a couple chip questions for the experts. I need to order a race chip for the upcoming Vegas race. Right now my car has stock heads, but in the near future will have a set of ported irons. If I buy a chip now, will I have to send it back to be reburned once I change heads, or does it not matter?

Juding from your setup, probably not. You are limited by turbo as it stands now so ported heads versus stock heads it doesn't really matter since you can max out the turbo's efficiency with either setup. If you go to a bigger turbo and want to turn up the boost, then probably.

Now that's from a timing setup. From a fueling setup, maybe. Since most everyone locks the BLM at WOT, you can do a lot more with smaller fuel pressure changes than you used to could.
