Stock MAF + extender extreme chip?

Will this work and read above the 255 gps or will I need a Translator and late model maf to "see" the higher maf readings? If the stock maf will work what gps/horsepower will it actually peg at?
My maf is good GM maf and have a spare too and wanna use them if I can.

Stock MAF reads up to 255, LT1 style if I remember correctly reads up to 512. But, the stock ECM can only interpret readings from 1-255....so with the LT1 MAF, the signal is basically cut in half and then to compensate the fueling is then doubled giving it the ability to provide fueling past the 255 barrier....thats the "extender" part of it.
