2000 Gm Radio... Obdii Only?

I have a 2000 Olds Radio. This is the one with the CD and tape together. I was told I cannot install this in my Regal, because the radio will only work without a PCM signal. I.E. the radio gets it's power(?) from the car computer.

Anyone run into this situation before? Can I make this work?

How many plug is on it? If its a singular plug there is a amp/tuner pack under the dash some place probally under the pass side dash, to locate it it might be a size of a ecm with heat sink fins and also the antenna plug in it. But to be on the shure can you take a pic of the front and the back of radio and e-mail me?

thats right

it will probley still work but will say conf error on the screen if you can get it to wire up your best bet is to either sell it or trade it for a cd player from a f bodt or gm product that has the 2 bolt in on either side. i put a tape player (it was free) from a f body in mine but have not wired it up yet .
