how to unlock the theft deterent thing

I just bought a 95 prizm for my son.We changed the battery,and now the radio is code E9,I think its the theft deterent thing thats stopping it from working,how do I unlock it.I dont have the orig papers on it,so I dont have the code to unlock it.The dealer said its too old for him to get the code,,does anybody have any experiance on these things,if so,clue me in on what to do-----thanks,,Jack

easiest to just go get a after market radio,imo. i doubt anyone will have that info

unlock radio

Yeah,,I think you`re right about getting another radio.Everybody I`ve talked to says to trash it and get another,,well I tried any way---thanks man,,,Jack

I think that is a GM radio but that car is basically a toyota corolla.

Give service or parts department a call and ask if they have the radio code by the vin number.

Radio code

This is a long shot but GM used to use the model year as a code: try 1995
