pics of the stereo update
well i saw LEPCONS GN at Daytona and it gave me the motivation to finish my car. i built sealed enclosure kicks for the 6.5 components and made a fiberglass trunk trim piece covered with vinyl.used the same box as before.
punch 400-2 on two stage two tens,one punch 400-2 on the components.stereo powering the 3.5 and the 4x10 speakers.going for a classy look that matches the car well.sounds good,glad to have the car put back together...enjoy the pics,sorry for the low quality...using my phone...

next step was to angle mounting rings and cover with fleece and apply fiberglass resin (sorry,no pics of this step).then bondo to smooth out.

next after applying resin to the fleece, i applied bondo with kitty hair and fiberglass matt (three layers)to make the tub stronger.

Looks awesome! Is that a one piece tub? If so is it removable, or did you have to finish it in the car? That is VERY similar to what I am putting together....VERY similar!
btw, any pics of lepricons install?

also Greg,i didn't wrap the top edge with the vinyl,i left it about three inches taller,set the tub in place,and folded it over the edge of the trunk,reinstalled the rubber trunk gasket,then cut off the excess vinyl so theres no light gaps.......

I love looking at that install process, and having done several like that, I am a little jealous you are done though. Its almost as much fun to build as it is to have, which is usually what someone says that didnt do the work...huh?!
 I will def give props for the one piece of vinyl, that I could not have done I dont think. I need a steamer. I'll have to show you pics sometime of a similar type build I did on a buddys car....every panel from dash to trunk was fiberglass. (Dash door panels, rear walls, console, rear shelf, trunk enclosure, and speaker box in the cabin...all smoothed and painted) Once you learn to f'glass, it gets a little addictive. Now you have me twitchin to stretch something!
