Looking for advise on subwoofer box for GN

I want something clean that does not take up a bunch of room. I know some companys make specialized enclosures but have not found any for the GN. Looking for something that sits under the rear 4x10s. No preference on size or amount of speakers. One 10 inch sub will probably be all I need. Thanks.

Wink Another idea...

I had a single 10" box built, but didn't like the fit. Bought a Bazooka Tube instead and strapped it down. Much better.

Daniel--

4 10"s across the back w/o a cabinet is great. Find some open-air 10's with a board across the back, and have all the bass you could want---Brian can help you with this---i have had 5 cars with this set-up-4 10" will pound.

We don't have any ready. We can build you whatever you want. I got a PM and may do one for him. If so I will post pics. I have a TR sitting right beside the cut table so we can build you what ever you want.... Just let me know. I think I am going to get them to build a couple of quick simple ones this week for you guys to look at and give input on

1 10" sub ported with decent power will be nice in a G-body. You're too far away for me to build the box. SGRIM will steer you right.

another way to do it,if you dont mind cutting the deck lit (4 to 6'' round port) is a 4th order custom dox. it could fit on the toparea ,and all the bass will be in the car not the trunk.did it in my ttype but with 2 ,15'' and took up the trunk 12.2 cubeic in. and cut the deck lit. thats loud!

I built a box that sat on the rear trunk deck under the rear deck and fit between the 4 x 10's and fit a 12". I sounded great and had room on the sides for my amps and cross-over leaving the main trunk usable.

Check out the post Sound System advice needed.
I posted pictures of a ported sub box with a 10" JL and 2 amps. It sits on the upper deck and I can still fit the TTops, 2 golf bags, tools, etc and seven cases of beer!!

Do any of your cars have a completely built system? I just wondered what your setup was? I hate how crummy the buick sounds, I had a 92 daytona with a system that used to kickass and I miss that. Loud and clear is what I love.

Get some pics up and bring a few to BPG! I'll bring my speakers and an amp! I've been looking for something for sometime now. I have a selfpowered sub back there now but it's just not hitting like I'd like to hear. Can't wait to see these boxes!

The system, like the car, is in pieces. Too much stuff to do and not enough time or money to complete them. The new system will be completely different from anything I've done in the car before.

subbox

i made my own subbox with 3 kicker 10inch L7s. it sits comfortly on the hump behind the rear seat not exceeding the hump. this box sounds like 2 12inch L7s. when i open my trunk to show everyone what i have they cannot beleive it.it is powered by a zapco 750 by 1 channel amp. the amp really pushes more than the 750 it says . it is called a competition cheater amp
