Sorry I cant help with your problem but maybe you can help me. Just bought a 86 a few weeks ago and the door speakers did not work. I pulled the lower panels and both speakers are missing. The driver door looks like a hole is cut out for a speaker but I can not imagine how one would fit. The pass door has been replaced and does not have a hole, yet. What size speakers go in the door and is there anyrhing special about how they mount?
